Tiko – Tuesday, September 15, 2026 –* The Mayor of Tiko Council, HRH Dr. Peter Ikome Mesoso III, has demarcated and allocated sheds for the effective functioning of the Tiko Council Farm Market at the Motor Park along the Tiko-Douala Road.

The Mayor carried out the exercise alongside the Chief of Recovery, Mrs. Masah Josephine, the Head of Municipal Police, Mr. Mbaku George, the Town Planning Officer, Engr. Esunge John, the Head of Communication, Mr. Ngong Ivo Mua, chief of Hygiene and Sanitation, Mr Abah Bruno,the Head of Local Solutions, Mr. Julius Sone, and staff of the Technical Service.

The farm market, which will hold every Thursday, is expected to provide a structured and hygienic space for farmers and traders to sell their produce directly to consumers.

Residents of the neighbourhood have welcomed the initiative, describing the Tiko Council Farm Market as a blessing that will boost economic activities and livelihoods in the area.
