The First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer for Fako, Dean Awa has congratulated the mayor of Tiko council and his team for respecting the deadline of organizing the Administrative Management and Stores Management Account session before March 31st ,2026.
He made the statement on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at the Tiko Council Banquet hall during a session to deliberate and adopt the Administrative Management and Stores Management Account of Tiko council for 2025.
Fako Assistant SDO also went ahead to congratulate the Revenue Collectors, Municipal Treasurer and Taxation Officials for the collection and called on Councilors to be aware that they are for the Municipality and act as a reference so that the Council remains in the hands of the CPDM party.
The session that was attended by the Regional Délégate of Decentralization and Local Development South West, Divisional Délégates of Decentralization and Local Development, Urban Development and Local Development Fako, Divisional Officer for Tiko, Traditional and Religious Authorities, Service Heads, Economic operators and a cross section of the population.
It should be noted that Tiko Council recorded a 75.9 Percent Réalisation Rate of Revenue, the highest in the history of the Council for the Year 2025.
Mayor Mesoso III on his part in his welcome speech, outlined some challenges the Council hinder for it’s réalisation rate to be 100 percent such as; the Implementation of the new Finance law, lockdowns as it was an election year, among others and called on Feicom to respect it’s Quarterly Payment to the Council account on time, for the Council to lobby mechanism and for Council workers to be trained on how to declare and do payment of Taxes online.
It should be noted that in 2025, Tiko Council under HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III recorded Achievements such as:
Construction and Equipment of the Integrated Health Centre at Ombe l, Mutengene.
Construction and Equipment of classrooms and benches at GS Mutengene limbe road, GS Mondoni, Mudeka, and CIAP Mutengene.
Construction of classrooms at École Publique Francophone Upper Costain.
Réhabilitation of farm to market road in Missaka, Mutengene, Mudeka and Mongo.
Construction of a Permanent bridge at Anglican church Tiko Town linking to Newlayout.
Pavement of roads in Likomba and Tiko Town.
The mayor thanked the councilors and staff for team work which to him will take the council to a different level.
