The Mayor of Tiko council, HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III has reiterated that Council land is not for sale.
He made the statement recently to the media after some unscrupulous individuals were spotted at the Tiko council Sports and Cultural Jamboree ground aka Fanzone planting pillars to sell the land.
Mayor Mesoso III was very bitter with the fact that Tiko Municipality has now been a testing ground for land grabbers to achieved their goal.
He went further that the council is bent to get to the root cause of those who were spotted with Surveyors at the Fanzone.
He told the media alongside Tiko Council Staff that no council land will be loss and those behind this will be brought to book.
It should be noted that the said land (Tiko Council sports and cultural Centreaka Fanzone), has for the past four years hosted the Tiko Council Sports and Cultural Jamboree, The Fanzone during the 2021 Afcon which limbe was one of the play ground, many events at Tiko Municipality among others
Tiko council is calling on the powers that be to act fast into the issue if not it will go out of hands as other institutions and corporation such as the Cameroon Development Coperation, CDC are all affected as concern illegal sale of land by individuals who claimed they have connections above.
