The Budget title “Empowerment Budget” was deliberated, examined and adopted during the Second Ordinary Session of Tiko Council On Wednesday December 17, 2025 at the Tiko Banquet Hall.
The adopted 2026 budget witnesses an increase as compare to the 2025 budget by FCFA 203 representing 11%.
Presenting the budget, the chairman of the Session, Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III reiterated on the fact that the Tiko Council will ficus on Road network maintenance and rehabilitation especially with the Development Zones
Mayor Mesoso III announced that the Annual Investment Plan for the Council in 2025 was realised 100% with the pavement Of roads from Bocom to Tiko District hospital, Tiko Town Green through the Market and Marche Mondial, Likomba from the bridge through the market to Tchombes Quarter, the construction of a Permanent bridge from the Anglican church linking Motombolombo and Newlayout neighborhoods, construction of farms to market road in Missaka, Construction of an Integrated Health Centre in Ombe native, construction of Two Blocks Classrooms at École Publique Francophone at Costain among others

The mayor disclosed that the council has earmarked the following projects for 2026:
– Internal Projects.

-Rehabilitation of Earth Roads, Functionality of the Mutengene Water project , rehabilitation of Pavement roads among others.
For Public Investment Projects(PIB).
– Construction of Pavement road from Bobga street Buea road Mutengene to the entrance of former PMUC office Limbe Road mutengene; construction of Two Block classrooms at GS Bonako, Pavement of road end of Likomba to the Quarters; Rehabilitation of Communal National Road in Miselelele; Construction of a Mini Reservoir for the extension of the Mutengene Water project; construction and equipping of an Integrated Health Centre in Missaka, Extension of the Likomba water project; Drilling of Solar Bore holes and Tower plus Standby taps at the creeks; Installation of Solar lamps at the various Zones; payment of debts among others.
It should be noted that the session was attended by the Supervisory Authority of Councils in Fako Division represented by his First Assistant, Din Awa, Regional Councilors, Members of the upper and Lower House of Parliament, Service Heads, Economic Stakeholders and a cross. Section of the population.
