As part of the Action plan of Tiko council Mayor, HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III, the Council represented by the Communal Development Officer, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves, Town Planning Officer, Engineer John Esunge and Technical Service Team alongside the contractor were on Wednesday November 19, 2025 marching words to action by rehabilitating earth road in the Mongo Zone of the municipality.

The rehabilitation of earth road from National Road No 3 passing through Mudeka town through Kongwe village to Mongo village is in high gear by Tiko Council.

The earth road that is expected to cover a distance of 8.5 Km according to Tiko Council Communal Development Officer, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves will see the construction of Seven Coverts with execution deadline set for Three Months.

Inspection of project

HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves went further that with the machinery and consistent of work put in place by Tiko Council and the contractor, the project can take Two months.

He added that the population of Mongo should collaborate with the contractor and come out in their numbers especially during clean up campaigns to clean the edges of the road.

He called on them to avoid heavy duty Trucks plying the road during rainy season, and that this is the time for the mongo people to enjoy the road thanks to the development oriented Mayor, HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III.

It should be noted that during the Tiko Council Budget Orientation Debate, BOD last October 2025, Mayor Dr Mesoso III made it clear that the Council will rehabilitate the road from Mongo through Kongwe to Mongo and today it’s a reality ‘Talk and Do Mayor”
