A two-day training workshop bringing together coordinators of Village and Neighborhood Committees, organized by the Tiko Council, began on Monday, September 29, 2025.
The workshop, hosted at the Tiko Council chambers, focuses on the creation, organization, and functioning of Village and Neighborhood Committees. It is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Present at the opening were the Fourth Deputy Mayor of Tiko Council, Waindim Rudolf, the Secretary General, Mrs. Eri Ita Tatason, the Communal Development Officer, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves Patrice, the Head of Local Solutions, Mr. Julius Sone, and the Bureau Head of Finance, Fombon Patrick, among other stakeholders.
Speaking during the session, officials emphasized the importance of grassroots structures in fostering community participation, local governance, and sustainable development.
It should be noted that the Tiko Municipality is divided into 18 zones, each of which will benefit from strengthened coordination and organization through these committees.
