Tiko Council under the stewardship of Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III have been on the field to educate the Population on Civil Status Documents as they approach the 8th edition of the African Civil Status Day schedule for August 10, 2025.
The Sensitisation exercise that has visited Communities in Tiko municipality such as Tiko chiefdom, likomba, Bokwai Likomba, Mutengene, Boganjo just to name a few, on Thursday July 17, 2025, visited the Tiko Women Forum Members.
The visit that was headed by Tiko Council fourth Deputy Mayor, Waindim Rudolf accompanied by the chief of Bureau Civil status, Mrs Anna Enanga and Communication officer, Ngong Ivo Mua was an opportunity for the Tiko Council Delegation to educate Members of Tiko Women Forum in the presence of their president, Madam Ako Mariana, Sub Delegate of Women’s Empowerment Tiko, President Fako Women Forum and Executives of the Tiko women, on the importance of Mass Marriages and Birth certificates for their children not only to wait for the time when the children want to register for the Common Entrance Examination.
The Tiko Council Delegation called on the population to make use of the Civil Status office at the council as during the celebration of the African Civil Status Day schedule for August 10, the council will be issuing Free Birth certificates for children born in Tiko municipality not above 90 days old on the spot, and Celebrate Mass Marriages to curb ‘Cam We Stay’ in the municipality.
Mrs Anna Enanga, chief of Bureau Civil status at Tiko council called on the women to submit documents for Mass Marriages latest July 25, 2025 at the Tiko Council or through their Various Zonal Women Forums.
The Sensitisation campaign that took place at the Women’s Empowerment centre in Tiko, was attended by Women from Bonako, Mongo, Tiko, Mutengene,and Likomba Women Forums.
