Tiko Council in collaboration with Humble Friends Association, HUMFRIEH, a humanitarian organization on Wednesday March 26, 2025 distributed over 100 Birth Certificates to Children of Upper Costain CDC camp in Tiko as part of the “My Name Campaign”
The ceremony that took place at the upper costain CDC camp committee venue masterminded by HUMFRIEH in collaboration with Tiko Council witnessed the presence of Tiko Council Fourth Deputy Mayor, Waindim Rudolf, Chief of Administration, Mrs Carolinda Achanga Bih, chief of Socio Cultural, Mr Douala Dipita, chief of Bureau Civil status, Mrs Anna Enanga, Tiko Council Civil status Staff at CDC Cottage hospital, Miss Dora Tiki, the communication team and the CEO of Humble Friends Association, HUMFRIEH Madam Seraphine Douala.

Distribution of over 100 Birth Certificates
In the presence of the upper costain CDC camp committee chairman, Mr Nelson Itoe and inhabitants of the camp, the Tiko Council team and Humfried educated the population on the importance of children acquiring a birth certificate which is everyone’s first certificate on earth which goes inline with the “My Name Campaign” slogan: My Name, My Identity, My Rights.

The team also advised the population on the upcoming Mass Marriage that will take place in the month of May organised by the Sub Delegation of Women’s Empowerment Centre Tiko in collaboration with Tiko Council as registration is ongoing.
It should be noted that the Tiko Council “My Name Campaign” has visited Schools, Health Facilities, the creeks, neighborhoods of the municipality, churches, football tournament pitches where Sensitisation took place with on the spot birth certificates been established amongst others.
