Members of the Fako follow up committee for the Execution of Public Investment Budget, PIB Projects headed by Fako Senior Divisional officer, Viang Mekala Engelbert have called on contractors incharge with the projects to increased the speed of work as the year comes to end.
Fako Senior Divisional officer, Viang Mekala Engelbert made the called on Wednesday October 23, 2024 in Tiko after visiting PIB projects in Tiko municipality.
Accompanied by the Divisional officer for Tiko , Mr Armstrong Voh, Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III, Fako Divisional Delegates of Public Contracts, Public works, and Urban Development and Housing alongside other members of the committee, and the Communal Development officer of Tiko Council, HRH Mbollo Ndedi Yves and Chief of Town Planning, John Esunge, the Fako Boss visited PIB Projects in Tiko municipality such as the construction of a Heath centre at mutengene Quarter 20 (Ombe Native), Pavement of roads in likomba and rehabilitation and supplies of equipment to the Gymnasium at the old Tiko Council.
After visiting the sites, Fako Senior Divisional officer called on the contractors especially that of the construction of a Heath centre at mutengene Quarter 20 (Ombe Native) to be serious and gave him two weeks for the projects to be realised.
On the pavement of roads in likomba, Fako Boss told the contactor that by November 7 the project should be 80 percent realization rate as no excuses will be tolerated.
During his last stop at the Gymnasium, Fako SDO and his team realised that just 60 percent of the rehabilitation work has been realised while supplies according to the contractor will be done in under 24hours.
It should be noted that the level of execution of PIB Projects in Fako Division is deplorable that’s why the SDO and his team came to the field to visit and carryout evaluation.
Same tour will take the Fako Boss and his team to the other Municipalities of the Division in the days ahead.
