The population of New layout and Motombolombo Tiko have thanked the mayor of Tiko Council HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III and his team for fulfilling their promised as construction of a bridge linking Tiko street Seven beside Anglican church to their neighbourhoods has started.

The Launching of the project and contractor on site took place on in Friday March 28, 2025 in the presence of Tiko Council Mayor HRH Dr Peter Ikome Mesoso III alongside his Deputies, Councillors, officials of the Tiko Special Branch and Public Security, Tiko Council Communal Development officer, Technical Service, Town Planning, Quarter Heads of the area and inhabitants of the neighborhoods.

During the visit to the construction site, Mayor Mesoso called on the population to collaborate with the contractor of the project so that his job will move on smoothly.

Demolition of some structures and bulldozing of the track to the bridge is ongoing. It should be noted that on January 2, 2025, Tiko Council Mayor and his Delegation were at site to informed and sensitised the population about the imminent construction of a bridge linking New layout and Motombolombo neighborhoods to Tiko town accompanied with pavement of the road in the days ahead which many were doubting but on Friday March 28 it was a dream come true.
